Properties:

white or yellow powder , Specific gravity 1.50. soluble in hot chloroform and hot benzene, insoluble in acetone, carbon tetrachloride, ethanol and water, sparingly soluble in gasoline, benzene and hot ethanol, solubility in rubber 0.25%, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, storage life 2 years.

Uses:

Similar to PZ, ZDC and BZ, and with better anti-scorching property. It is non-staining, non-discoloring, odorless, tasteless and non-toxic, suitable for accelerating latex vulcanization. It is used in transparent or bright-colored rubbers, medical rubbers, rubber mould, food-contact rubber-impregnated products, latex sponge, adhesive plaster, self-vulcanizing products, etc. Rate of use is generally 0.2-1.5 in rubber and 0.5-2.0 in latex.
